Three Signs of a Trusted Auto Shop

Depending on the size of your town, there may be five or more different local auto shops to choose from. How do you know which ones are worth your time and money? We understand that choosing a trusted auto shop can be a very personal choice, so here are a few signs to look for:

Good reputation. Ask your neighbors and local family and friends which auto shop they go to. If you find that a specific one is among the few that these trusted people in your life recommend, it may be worth checking out. This means that this auto shop has a reputation that is good enough to get recommendations by word of mouth. You may also consider checking out online reviews to see what others are saying.

Care for customer comfort. Take a look at the customer waiting area, checking to see if it’s clean and accommodating to those who need to wait. Consider whether the auto shop has a work area for customers, coffee or tea, restrooms, wifi, and maybe even a shuttle service. These are add-ons can really show that this shop cares about its customers’ comfort, providing them with a great experience while they wait.

Great communication. Are the technicians able to clearly communicate what repairs need to be done? This is a great sign to look for in a long-lasting customer, technician relationship. They should be able to tell you what repairs need to be done more immediately and which ones can wait. Transparency is very important to customers and can determine whether they’ll be back for that other service.

There are more signs to look for, but we think these are a great starting point. Don’t be afraid to ask your auto shop about anything that makes you wary about committing to one shop. We’re strong believers in finding a trusted shop to do most – if not all – of your servicing. The shop learns more about you and your vehicle’s needs, creating a great, lasting relationship.

Swing on by and see if you want that lasting relationship with our shop. We hope to see you soon!
